We are all born with a sense of right and wrong. We know when someone is not being treated fairly. Jesus taught an important lesson on justice when he dealt with the money changers at the Temple. Jesus was at the Temple the day before he throws the money changers out. Mark 11 says, “He looked around at everything and because it was late he went with the twelve out to Bethany.” It says he saw everything. He saw injustice. He saw thievery and greed. The next day when he returns and overthrows their tables and throws them out, it was not a spur of the moment decision. He saw what they had been doing the day before and I imagine they knew as he was destroying their ‘business’ that they had been dishonest and cheating. They were thieves.
Jesus then teaches them a lesson on faith. You can have so much faith that you can move huge mountains or you can only have faith the size of a mustard seed. It is still faith. When you have faith it changes things. Faith and prayer work together. We ask in prayer, believing in faith, and trusting God to answer.
