When you get to the end of your life, what is the most important thing you will look back at and remember? Your wealth is rotted away. Your clothes are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver is corroded? It all is a testimony against you (James 5). You thought you were saving up for your last days but your robbed and cheated to get to that point. It all speaks against you. That is not how we want to see the end of our lives.
So we need to make changes today. Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. How do we truly live? Is eternity with Christ our goal? Do we honor others? Do we help children? Are we aware of what causes us to sin and do we eliminate it from our lives? Or is it all about us all of the time?
We still have time to take an inventory of how we live. We can make positive changes. Live with eternity in view.
