Paul at Ephesus

Karen Epp

The church at Ephesus loved Paul and they didn’t want him to leave.  Paul gives them a farewell speech that is encouraging and distressing.

To the Pastors at Ephesus:
Keep watch over your flock and yourselves.
You were appointed by God to tend the flock.
Savage wolves (men from this very congregation) will rise up, pervert the truth, and try to destroy the church.
Be vigilant.

To the Church:
You are commended to God.
Remember His Word that can build you up.
Work hard as Paul showed by example.
Help the weak.
Remember:  It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Your Word, O Lord, is truth.  Consecrate us in the Truth.   John 17:17
