Jesus did two miracles in Cana of Galilee. We know about changing the water into wine at the wedding, but when Jesus returns to Galilee he is met by a royal official whose son was dying and he wanted Jesus to heal his son. Jesus seems curt with the man saying that people would not believe unless they saw signs and wonders. The man was not taking “No” for an answer and continued to push Jesus to heal his son. Jesus said, “You may go, your son will live.” The man returns to his home. His servants meet him to tell him the boy is healed and the man realized this happened at the exact time Jesus said he was healed. The man’s entire household believed because of the son being healed.
Do we need a sign to believe? Many people say that God doesn’t give signs today, and others are all about prophetic signs. How do we believe? God works in our lives daily, but most of the time we never recognize Him. We think it is just circumstances that happened and we fail to see God or give him glory. Look for God today. Find out what He has done for you today, things that you weren’t even expecting or asked for. There were probably a lot of signs that He gave us today and we didn’t recognize Him.
