Daily Martyrdom

Florida Shooting: Nikolas Cruz Is Charged With 17 Counts of Murder

I agree with Governor Rick Scott’s referring to yesterday’s murder as pure evil. My gut says, “If ever there was a case for the death penalty…”

Unfortunately, the only death penalty Jesus approves of is found in today’s Gospel:

Jesus said to his disciples:
“The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected
by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes,
and be killed and on the third day be raised.”

Jesus encouraged His disciples to “Take up your cross and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24; Mark 8:34; Luke 9:23)?”

Jesus approves of Martyrdom but no other violence. The Church, the new Israel and Jesus, the New Moses votes for life always.

We are Pro life (We say no to abortion, euthanasia and capital punishment).
We are Pro Earth(We believe in taking care of ourselves, our brothers and sisters and our Earth).

We won’t save the world through capital punishment or violence of any kind. We will save the world when we take Jesus’ advice to heart and ask God for the gift of daily martyrdom.

Yesterday, Aaron Feis gave his life. CNN reported:

It is with Great sadness that our Football Family has learned about the death of Aaron Feis. He was our Assistant Football Coach and security guard. He selflessly shielded students from the shooter when he was shot. He died a hero and he will forever be in our hearts and memories
