Exchanging the Truth for a Lie

Paul told us he was not ashamed of the Gospel because it was the power of God for salvation.  He recognized God for who He is.  Mankind does strange things when we try to explain God or try to explain away God.  We know in the deepest parts of our heart that there is a God.  Many do not want to recognize Him but we see God revealed through nature every day.  It shows us God’s invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity but yet we will try to replace God with other things and our minds become so darkened that we worship the creature rather than the Creator.

Jesus was critical of the Pharisees because they wanted worship to focus on themselves not on an outward worship toward God.  He uses the example of cleaning the outside of a cup but leaving all of the nasty residue on the inside and saying the cup was clean.  It really wasn’t clean.

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.  Day and night we can see God in what He has created.  I recognized God this morning as I drove to work and saw the sliver of the moon and the brightness of Venus.  I don’t worship the moon or the planets but I recognize that God allowed me to see His creation in an awesome way to remind me that if He has nature under his control, He can help me in my tasks this day.
