The Word of our Testimony

Paul wanted Timothy to know the power of prayer. Prayer includes supplications, prayers, petitions and thanksgivings to be offered for everyone. It is easy to pray for our immediate family and friends, but Paul says our prayers are to include the king/president and all who are in authority. This pleases God when we pray because there is one God, one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for all.

Paul wanted men everywhere to pray lifting holy hands and praying without anger or argument.

Why should men pray? It changes your history. David prayed for strength and courage to face the battles. God answered. The centurion knew he was helpless to heal his slave so he requested Jesus to come to his home to heal his slave. He had faith to believe that Jesus could heal. God answered. The answers to our prayers are the words of our testimony. We can change our world with our prayers. Today let us pray for our president, vice president, Congress and the Senate that they may hear the voice of God today and know that He speaks to them.

Blessed be the Lord, for he had heard our prayers.
